Letters to Liwanag

Letters to Liwanag was a social media page created for MGRAPH3 that promoted Morena (English Translation: Filipino people with tan/brown skin, not the usual standard of beauty in the Philippines where white skin is valued) empowerment by serving as a platform for Morenas to share their stories and experiences along with their journey to loving and embracing their skin. The page also featured period posts that gave specially curated tips on flattering, enriching, and celebrating deeper skin tones.

Design

The Letters to Liwanag palette made use of feminine bright colors that ranged from neutral beiges and browns to salmons. The variety of colors were chosen to represent the range of “Morena” skin tones many Filipinas possess.
